How the Transaction Works
A simple, secure process — every transfer is documented and recorded with the trademark authority.
Inquiry & Terms Finalization
Tell us your needs and any questions about the trademark. We verify its legal status, ownership history and transfer eligibility, then communicate with both parties to finalize the terms — price, timeline and included assets such as domain names.
Formal Agreement & Signature
We draft a formal Trademark Assignment Agreement that records the details of both parties, the trademark, the purchase price and the scope of rights being transferred. Both parties review and sign it, and the signed agreement forms the legal basis for the transfer of ownership.
Invoice & Secure Payment
We issue a secure invoice payable via PayPal, Escrow or bank transfer. Your funds are held safely in our relevant regulated accounts and are never released to the seller until you confirm that the ownership and rights have been successfully transferred.
Trademark Assignment & Domain Transfer
Within 2 business days of receiving your payment, we prepare all assignment documents and file them with the relevant trademark office to officially record the transfer of ownership. Where applicable, we also complete the transfer of any domain names included in the sale at the same time.
Official Approval & Delivery Confirmation
Immediately after we file the assignment, we provide you with the official Assignment Filing Receipt. Once the transfer is approved, we deliver the Assignment Recordation Notice issued by the trademark office, and confirm with you that the trademark and any included domain names have been fully delivered.
Disbursement & Closure
After you confirm receipt of the official approval and all transferred assets, the payment held in our relevant regulated account is released to the seller, and the transaction is formally completed with all records documented.
Estimated Ownership Transfer Times
Trademark offices process transfers at different speeds, and their workloads change over time.
Estimates below are based on our recently completed recordals at each office.
How We Protect You
We act as a neutral, independent intermediary and stand behind your payment from the first inquiry to the final handover.
Every Step, Managed End to End
- Neutral, accountable intermediary — we verify the trademark's ownership and status, then manage every step of the transaction.
- Communication & negotiation — we bring both parties together and finalize the transaction terms.
- Agreement & signing — we draft the assignment agreement and coordinate signatures from both sides.
- Filing & recordal — we prepare and submit the transfer documents to the relevant trademark office.
- Completion & payout — we track the recordal until ownership is confirmed and the rights are delivered to you, then release funds to the seller only after your confirmation of receipt.
Your Payment Is Guaranteed
- Bank transfer, PayPal or Escrow — whichever you choose, your money is fully protected.
- Your funds are held securely and are never paid to the seller before the transfer is officially completed.
- If the trademark (or any asset included, such as a domain) is not successfully transferred, we refund 100% of your payment.
Before You Buy
Key things every buyer should know before purchasing.
❖ 3 Key Actions for New Owners Post-Transaction:
1. Keep using the trademark in commerce.
Keeping and using your trademark in commerce is crucial for its protection, validity, distinctiveness, defense against challenges, and overall business reputation. Regular and genuine use helps ensure that your trademark maintains its legal significance and serves as an effective tool for brand recognition and consumer trust.
2. Designate a new correspondent for your trademark.
The trademark correspondent is the primary contact for official communications regarding the trademark. In most cases, the trademark owner's attorney serves as the correspondent and manages the trademark's legal matters. As the new owner, we recommend designating your own trusted trademark attorney as the correspondent to ensure you receive all future official communications promptly and your trademark is properly monitored and maintained.
Under USPTO rules, U.S.-based trademark owners may designate themselves as the trademark correspondent through their USPTO.gov account and provide their own email address for official communications. The process typically takes just a few minutes, and we provide a step-by-step guide for our clients.
3. Renewal and Maintenance.
As per official rules, trademarks require ongoing renewal and maintenance to remain valid and enforceable.
For U.S. trademarks, you can check your registration status, maintenance deadlines, and filing requirements through the USPTO's TSDR system (https://tsdr.uspto.gov). To keep your registration active, submit all required filings and fees on time. Otherwise, your registration will be canceled! Your trademark attorney can assist with these filings if needed.
Be aware that your registration will be canceled if you do not file the required documents below during the specified time periods:
Requirements in the First Ten Years*
What and When to File:
• First Filing Deadline: You must file a Declaration of Use (or Excusable Nonuse) between the 5th and 6th years after the registration date. If the declaration is accepted, the registration will continue in force for the remainder of the ten-year period, calculated from the registration date, unless canceled by an order of the Commissioner for Trademarks or a federal court.
• Second Filing Deadline: You must file a Declaration of Use (or Excusable Nonuse) and an Application for Renewal between the 9th and 10th years after the registration date.
Requirements in Successive Ten-Year Periods*
What and When to File:
• You must file a Declaration of Use (or Excusable Nonuse) and an Application for Renewal between every 9th and 10th-year period, calculated from the registration date.
❖ About Trademark Ownership Transfer
◆ What is the process for transferring ownership?
For a U.S. trademark, the owner or the attorney will file the necessary forms, submit the properly signed Trademark Assignment Agreement, and pay the required government fees to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Officials will review the submissions and record the transfer if no errors are found. If any mistakes are identified, the USPTO will notify the filer to make corrections until the transfer is approved.
◆ What will the buyer receive as a result of the ownership transfer?
The buyer will obtain trademark ownership, entire interest and the goodwill.
In this process, we will provide the buyer with the Assignment Filing Receipt and Assignment Recordation Notice.
◆ What changes can we expect to see on the official page?
The USPTO system will record the assignment details and update the information to reflect the new owner.
◆ How long does the transfer take?
The transfer process takes approximately 8-10 weeks, depending on the USPTO's current processing times.

➜ Amazon will approve your brand registry if no mistakes occur.
(Guide of Amazon Brand Registry)
Benefits:
◆ After the registry, you can create product listings with the brand.
◆ You get A+ Content, enhanced brand content, brand analytics and more.
◆ Amazon doesn't seem to care which class your trademark is in, they give you coverage across all categories (which could change at any time).
❖ About Domain Name Transfer
◆ An Auth-Code, also known as an EPP code, authorization code, transfer code, or Auth-Info Code, is a generated passcode required to transfer an internet domain name between domain registrars; the code is intended to indicate that the domain name owner has authorized the transfer. GoDaddy.com and NameCheap.com are known as famous domain registrars.
◆ Using the Auth-Code shared by the owner, you can seamlessly transfer the domain name to your domain registrar account.
◆ The transfer of a domain name between two registrars typically takes 5-7 days, while the transfer between two accounts within the same registrar usually takes only minutes or seconds. See Domain Transfer Between Registrars.
